1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Meaningly (available at meaninglyai.com), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the service.

2. Description of Service

Meaningly is an AI-powered reading companion that allows users to upload documents (PDF, DOCX, EPUB, PPTX, TXT, RTF, ODT), read within the application, click on words to get instant meanings, translations, pronunciation, and AI-generated explanations in 100+ languages. Users can save vocabulary and resume reading where they left off.

3. Account Registration

To use Meaningly, you must create an account with a valid email address and password. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials. You must be at least 13 years of age to create an account.

4. Free and Premium Plans

Meaningly offers two tiers of service:

• Free Plan: 30 word lookups per day, access to all 100+ languages, vocabulary saving, and reading progress tracking. The free plan is available indefinitely at no cost.
• Premium Plan: Unlimited word lookups, AI-powered explanations with refinement options (Simpler, Deeper, Examples), and all Free plan features. Premium is available at $5.00 USD per month or $45.00 USD per year.

5. Payment and Billing

Premium subscriptions are processed through our payment partner, Lemon Squeezy. By subscribing to Premium, you authorize recurring charges at the selected billing interval (monthly or yearly). All prices are in USD. Taxes may apply depending on your jurisdiction and are handled by Lemon Squeezy.

6. Cancellation

You may cancel your Premium subscription at any time. Upon cancellation, you will retain Premium access until the end of your current billing period. After that, your account will revert to the Free plan. No partial refunds are issued for unused portions of a billing period.

8. User Content and Documents

Documents you upload to Meaningly are stored securely in your personal cloud library. We do not read, analyze, share, or sell your uploaded documents. Your files are private and accessible only to your account. You retain full ownership of all content you upload.

9. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use Meaningly for any illegal purpose or in violation of applicable laws
• Upload content that infringes on intellectual property rights of others
• Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or hack any part of the service
• Use automated systems (bots, scrapers) to access the service
• Share your account credentials with others or allow unauthorized access
• Abuse the free tier by creating multiple accounts to circumvent daily limits

10. AI-Generated Content

Meaningly uses artificial intelligence (powered by DeepSeek) to provide word meanings, translations, and explanations. AI-generated content is provided for educational and informational purposes only. While we strive for accuracy, AI responses may occasionally contain errors. Meaningly does not guarantee the accuracy of AI-generated translations or explanations.

11. Intellectual Property

The Meaningly name, logo, design, and underlying technology are the intellectual property of Meaningly. You may not copy, reproduce, or create derivative works from any part of the service without written permission.

12. Privacy

We collect and use your personal information (email address, reading preferences, saved vocabulary) solely to provide and improve the service. We do not sell your personal data to third parties. Document uploads are stored securely and are only accessible to your account.

13. Service Availability

We strive to maintain 99.9% uptime, but Meaningly is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We may temporarily suspend the service for maintenance, updates, or unforeseen technical issues. We are not liable for any losses resulting from service downtime.

14. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Meaningly and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the service, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of revenue, or loss of business opportunities.

15. Modifications to Terms

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

16. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms. You may delete your account at any time by contacting us at support@meaninglyai.com.

17. Governing Law

These terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Pakistan. Any disputes arising from these terms shall be resolved through good-faith negotiation or, if necessary, binding arbitration.
